Valeriy Filipov roused us to dance! Among the programme items, there were Ukrainian dumkas, ballads and romances, folk and contemporary songs. In addition, the author played a musical saw!

On 26 June, there was a concert with atmospheric dumkas and folk melodies played by Valeriy Filipov.

Valeriy Filipov graduated from P. Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Kyiv with a diploma in three specializations: concert musician, conductor, classic guitar teacher. He not only plays the guitar, but he is a multi-instrumentalist who offers an interesting, diverse programme, including harmonica and panpipe pieces. He is among the few artists worldwide playing the musical saw. He has authored numerous guitar versions of pieces from various fields of music, starting with Mozart and Beethoven, through folk music from different countries, including Polish and German Christmas carols, ending with jazz classics and songs by The Beatles. He also composes his own creations. In addition to playing musical instruments, he is a great singer of ballads and romances, Ukrainian dumkas, Polish melodies, sea shanties, as well as popular pop and blues classics in English.
